Melanie

Melanie grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Marketing in 2023. Melanie has over 3 years of experience in marketing for non-profit organizations, brands, and celebrity talent. Her skills include digital marketing, social media management/strategy, content creation, project management, KPI reporting and influencer relations. Melanie currently works as a Community Manager for SWIM SOCIAL and a Retail Digital Editor for Glossier, continuing her work in community management for brands. Melanie joined BLOOM because of her passion for mentorship and wanting to support her childhood friend and founder of BLOOM, Angela Canales in empowering future first-gen leaders. For 2 years, Melanie served as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund mentor, helping empower and guide Latinx high school students through their college journeys. Her hobbies include thrifting, traveling, reading, and coffee shop hopping!
